Finance and Operations Vice President

The overarching role of the Finance and Operations Vice President is to oversee the financial and operational affairs of the chapter. She must understand that the chapter operates as a small non-profit business. She is responsible for sound financial management practices, including the creation of a budget that meets the chapter’s goals and objectives and the review of monthly chapter financial reports to ensure chapter funds are spent and allocated appropriately. Additionally, this includes establishing realistic and competitive chapter dues, managing the chapter payables, and processing of member accounts. She will be the point person for all payment plans or issues concerning individual members’ accounts. The Finance and Operations Vice President is also responsible for accurate and timely financial reporting to the National Fraternity, university, Panhellenic office, and the Internal Revenue Service. In addition to her financial responsibilities, the Finance and Operations Vice President and her team ensure the accurate tracking of the chapter’s Merit System. As a member of the Executive Committee, the Finance and Operations Vice President provides strategic direction for the chapter, updates chapter Sisters on all work occurring, and problem solves and brainstorms solutions for current and future challenges for the chapter and campus.

The Finance Director is responsible for the financial affairs of the chapter. She serves as a direct assistant to the Finance and Operations Vice President and may take on different tasks based on the needs of the college chapter The Administration Director is responsible for upholding the chapter’s Merit System and works with the Finance and Operations Vice President to hold members accountable when necessary.

The Facility Management Director’s responsibilities include assisting the Local Building Corporation or National Housing Corporation in maintaining the chapter facility, as well as promoting a positive living environment for all Sisters who live in the chapter facility.
