Chapter President

The overarching role of the Chapter President is to instill loyalty, pride, affection and unity in the college chapter. As the chair of the Executive Committee, it is important for the Chapter President to understand the purpose and strategic initiatives of each team. She should work with the Vice President of each team to make sure deliberate goals are set and accomplished each semester. The Chapter President should also make sure that tasks are being managed appropriately by Vice Presidents. The Vice Presidents and their teams should carry out the bulk of planning and execution for the chapter. The Chapter President may step in to provide support when necessary but should always empower her chapter officers to carry out their duties as assigned. The Chapter President should participate in continued education and training as provided by Fraternity Headquarters, the college or university, the college Panhellenic, and other vendor partners. The Chapter President represents the chapter in the community and acts with its best interests in mind.

Maggie White

Finance and Operations Vice President

The overarching role of the Finance and Operations Vice President is to oversee the financial and operational affairs of the chapter. She must understand that the chapter operates as a small non-profit business. She is responsible for sound financial management practices, including the creation of a budget that meets the chapter’s goals and objectives and the review of monthly chapter financial reports to ensure chapter funds are spent and allocated appropriately. Additionally, this includes establishing realistic and competitive chapter dues, managing the chapter payables, and processing of member accounts. She will be the point person for all payment plans or issues concerning individual members’ accounts. The Finance and Operations Vice President is also responsible for accurate and timely financial reporting to the National Fraternity, university, Panhellenic office, and the Internal Revenue Service. In addition to her financial responsibilities, the Finance and Operations Vice President and her team ensure the accurate tracking of the chapter’s Merit System. As a member of the Executive Committee, the Finance and Operations Vice President provides strategic direction for the chapter, updates chapter Sisters on all work occurring, and problem solves and brainstorms solutions for current and future challenges for the chapter and campus.

Alaina Douglas

Chapter Life Vice President

The overarching role of the Chapter Life Vice President is to ensure the chapter has a well-rounded chapter experience through the planning and execution of chapter events. She effectively implements the risk management program, leads all officers on her team involved with internal chapter operations, and assists the Chapter President, substituting for her as necessary. She understands all the duties of the Chapter President’s office. She also oversees all aspects of chapter life including campus activities, Sisterhood opportunities and social events. Alongside the Chapter Events Director, she ensures that all chapter social events comply with Alpha Xi Delta’s Health and Safety Policies and procedures, all university policies, and federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Additionally, she educates the chapter on the Alpha Xi Delta Health and Safety Policies and best practices. As a member of the Executive Committee, she provides strategic direction for the chapter, updates everyone on all the work occurring within her team, and works to problem-solve and brainstorm future challenges for the chapter and campus.

Skylar Moreland

Membership Vice President

The overarching role of the Membership Vice President is to coordinate the chapter member recruitment program and oversee the membership team. She understands the need to remain competitive in membership strategy and works with the membership team, local and national volunteers, Chapter Advisor and Membership Advisor on year-round initiatives to position the chapter for success in formal recruitment, informal recruitment and/or COB. While she oversees the Membership Evaluation Plan (MEP) in its entirety, she also delegates key duties to Directors on the membership team so that she is available to correspond with others, such as the university or Panhellenic, and can focus on “big picture” initiatives including potential new member evaluation and strategy. She also provides the chapter with continuous training on recruitment practices throughout the year to prepare members and increase overall recruitment strength. As a member of the Executive Committee, she provides strategic direction for the chapter, updates everyone on all the work occurring within her team, and works to problem-solve and brainstorm future challenges for the chapter and campus.

Ellie Belcher

Member Development Vice President

The overarching role of the Member Development Vice President is to lead the Member Development Team in the oversight and implementation of the chapter’s member education programming. With the desire and ability to inspire individual chapter members to learn and practice the ethics of Alpha Xi Delta, she strategically sets goals to achieve member education priorities. She broadens the education of chapter members and fosters individual development so that each member can attain their highest potential. As a member of the Executive Committee, the Member Development Vice President provides strategic direction for the chapter, updates everyone on all the work occurring, and works to problem solve and brainstorm solutions for current and future challenges for the chapter and campus.

Gwyn Capehart

Communications Vice President

The overarching role of the Communications Vice President is to act as the brand manager of the chapter through the implementation of the chapter’s external relations plan. She creates a strategic plan to share the benefits of membership with all external stakeholders, such as potential new members, alumnae, and families, through social media platforms, targeted communication, and merchandise. She also helps to promote positive relationships with campus organizations and individuals. In addition to leading the team, the Communications Vice President is also a member of the Executive Committee; this committee provides strategic direction for the chapter, updates everyone on all the work occurring, and works to problem solve and brainstorm future challenges for the chapter and campus

Bre Henson

Philanthropy Vice President

The overarching role of the Philanthropy Vice President is to implement the chapter’s annual Kindly Hearts Initiative Impact Plan through three areas: Letters of Love, a national letter-writing fundraising campaign; chapter fundraising events known as AmaXIng Challenges; and localized service opportunities. The Philanthropy Vice President promotes a positive environment to encourage Sisters to be service-minded and engaged in their local communities. While she oversees the Kindly Hearts Initiative Impact Plan in its entirety, she manages the key responsibilities of her Directors on the Philanthropy Team so that she is available to correspond with key stakeholders, such as the university, Panhellenic or the greater community, and can focus on “big picture” initiatives such as community engagement and building strategic relationships with the chapter’s chosen local impact organizations. As a member of the Executive Committee, she provides strategic direction for the chapter, updates everyone on all the work occurring within her team and works to problem solve and brainstorm future challenges for the chapter and campus.

Maddie Mullins

Panhellenic Delegate

The overarching role of the Panhellenic Delegate is to serve as a representative of the chapter in the campus Panhellenic community and to exercise the chapter’s vote in all Panhellenic Council matters. She attends all Panhellenic meetings and keeps the Executive Committee and chapter members well informed on the Panhellenic community and the other Panhellenic chapters. She encourages Panhellenic unity and cooperation through collaboration with other chapters. The Panhellenic Delegate thinks about not just what is best for the chapter, but the community as a whole.
